Raksha Bandhan in Sikhism

Sikhism and Raksha Bandhan

Coming directly to the answer that whether or not Rakhi or Raksha Bandhan has any connection with Sikhism or not? Answer is No. Sikhs and the Sikh religion has no relation at all with this festival of Rakhri or Raksha Bandhan.

Amazingly every Sikh around seems to be celebrating it without even searching whether or not this thing has any relation to his religion or it should be done or not? There are even pictures made to make people believe in the false things.

A Sikh Warrior Woman Painting
The Question, why not celebrate can be explained via many examples. Some of them are listed here. The most important one is that Sikh girls are warriors just like Sikh men. So, they do not need any protection as they are as brave and as capable as their brothers. Another thing to note here is that majority of the people celebrating this thing have no respect for other women except their sisters. For a Sikh, every woman except his wife is his sister. So a Sikh will not just protect his own sister but every woman in this world. There can be numerous more examples like a thread on an arm does nothing to a brother and sister relation.

    1. Sorry to say but your comment seems like a pure attention seeker or just hating the part that Sikhs condemn your festival. What's contradicting between 'Sikh women are warriors" and "Sikh men protect all women"? Where it says a Sikh will only protect a Sikh woman? Let's rephrase it to "A Sikh will protect anyone irrespective of their religion or gender". Typing "LOL" after every sentence shows how non-serious you are while writing this comment. While the article could be written poorly, no doubt in that. I hardly knew how to write an article so many years back but I won't agree that the information written is wrong in any way.

Some examples: "thread on an arm"- do explain the magical powers a thread on an arm gives.

      More:
      "LOL
How can you speak on behalf of 100s of millions of people ?
      LOL"
Which line you are referring to?

So, the common fact rises up again: "Majority Hindu nation India cannot accept the existence of a minority Sikh religion that stands up against their stupid rituals, festivals and other nonsense stuff."

    4. I hope you realise that we do not believe worship or pray to any form of pictures or Clay (statue). This is also against our religion.
Most people tend to forget that a picture which shows an image of what what people perceive to be our guru having a rakhi tied on his hand is real.
      Where is the evidence?

Infact all the evidence in our Guru Granth Sahib states that guru Nanak Dev Ji clearly stated to not believe in injustice and inequality.
If you need more details of this then read the holy book and clearly understand it.

If you or anyone loves their sister then learn to provide love and equality in your home. YOUR SISTER DOES NOT YOUR PITY BUT INSTEAD A BROTHER WHO RESPECTS ALL WOMEN.
