Bhai Baghel Singh Ji - Conqueror of Delhi

BHAI BAGHEL SINGH JI (1730-1802)

Bhai Baghel Singh Ji were born in 1730 in village Chabal Kalan in district Tarn Taran Sahib. Baghel Singh Ji became the leader of Crore Singhia Misl. Bhai Baghel Singh Ji led the Crore Singhia Misl during the 18th century when the misl had over 12000 fight men.

On 11 March 1783, Baghel Singh Ji with their army entered Red Fort and captured Delhi. Baghel Singh Ji located the seven sites associated with the lives of Sikh Gurus so that Gurudwaras can be constructed on these sites.





Following Gurudwaras were built by Bhai Baghel Singh Ji in Delhi -
  • Gurudwara Mata Sundri
  • Gurudwara Bangla Sahib
  • Gurudwara Bala Sahib
  • Gurudwara Rakab Ganj
  • Gurudwara Sis Ganj
  • Gurudwara Moti Bagh
  • Gurudwara Majnu Ka Tilla

Bhai Baghel Singh Ji died in 1802 at Hariana, near Hoshiarpur.
